Scooter Design was started in 2001 with a handshake in a pub, an over draft from the nice man at the bank and lots of late nights. Nowadays we still go to the pub and shake hands, we don’t have an overdraft and only do late nights if it looks like more fun than going to the pub to shake hands. At Scooter, we not only design brands, we manage brands and, more importantly, we grow brands. Some people think that’s a bit nerdy but to us, a new project or communication brief presents a challenge in how to successfully get a brand in front of a different audience, to keep a brand relevant and meaningful and ultimately add value to a business. The Scooter team thrives on the daily challenges of bringing a brand to life. In this, we are proven brand champions (nerds). We are all experienced ‘seniors’ in the design industry – work doesn’t get passed on to a junior – and we work with a highly experienced network of the very best copywriters, social media gurus, web developers, animators, image retouchers and proofreaders. That’s a great thing about Wellington, it is bursting at the seams with very clever people, all doing their own thing, and always keen to get into a new project. You can be assured that every single person in our ‘family’ is a committed, experienced and highly regarded industry professional.
