Scoot Science builds ocean intelligence software for people who work on the water. What is happening beneath the surface does not have to be a mystery. We combine site-specific numerical ocean models, sensor and satellite data, and the operational records our customers already keep to deliver underwater weather: what conditions are now, what they will be over the next ten days, and what that means for the fish and the operation. We started in aquaculture. Since 2019, salmon farmers have run their sites on SeaState, our operational platform for saltwater production. SeaState brings environmental, biological and operational data into one picture, forecasts harmful ocean conditions, low oxygen and upwelling before they reach the pens, and translates conditions into fish welfare metrics so teams can act early. In 2026 we brought the same engine to wild fisheries. SeaFarer is ocean intelligence for fishing: forecasts from surface to seafloor at the spots you fish, a private catch log that syncs with Blue Ocean Gear Smart Buoys and the Deckhand electronic logbooks, and analysis that shows which conditions, seasons and spots produce for you. It was built with trap and longline captains in Alaska and is now used by commercial and recreational fishermen on both coasts.
