S[&]T Norway specialises in bringing Earth Observation and Artificial Intelligence-technology to the market. We follow satellite instrument development and operations and provide instrument data simulators, satellite on-board processing and data processor pipelines. In addition, we analyse satellite images for monitoring the environment by applying advanced machine-learning methods. S[&]T's machine-learning activities include building computer vision models to monitor lakes on Greenland for the European Space Agency (ESA), classify drivers of deforestation in Indonesia for the World Resources Institute, and detect tree species for the Norwegian forestry industry.
