Scholastic Expeditions Information

Scholastic Expeditions specializes in hands-on science programs for students in the beautiful country of Costa Rica. Scholastic Expeditions began as a partnership of educators and entrepreneurs who, after many years in the traditional student travel business, began to believe that a superior educational experience could be provided. Although these founders came together from diverse backgrounds and expertise, they were united in their desire to build an educational organization founded on the following shared principles: 1) Educate students in an inter-disciplinary approach that recognizes the complexity of conservation in today’s global society. 2) Support eco-tourism as a force against conventional and destructive economic growth practices. 3) Encourage responsible choices and a political awareness of how those choices impact local communities, countries, and even the world. Throughout the program, your students will see first-hand the power of their eco-dollars to effect change on local and community levels. In this way we hope to fuel growing minds with a passion for science, environmentalism, and global citizenship.
