The origin of Schmidt & Co., (Hong Kong) Limited can be dated back to 110 years ago when Paul Schmidt founded the Schmidt Group of Companies in Tokyo under the name of Schmidt Shoten in 1896. Today, Schmidt & Co. (Hong Kong) has a strong presence in Asia Pacific region, with over 15 offices in 8 countries (HK, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia), including 9 offices in the key cities of China. Our head office is located in Hong Kong, an international financial hub, which mainly focuses on corporate strategy, compliance functions and operating support for other regions. Schmidt has the extensive experience of serving international companies across Asia through its subsidiaries and Worldwide through its network of GUiDE-alliance partners. The main benefit of this approach is that we recognize the value of providing true local support and presence in as much of the countries as possible where out customer is active. This reduces the customer pressure on the project by providing optimized support and incident management, while still protecting the overall central company strategy of the project.
