We are a small family winery whose first vintage was 1991. Our goal is to create handcrafted, full-flavored wines that express the personality of the unique Sonoma County vineyards where they are grown. While first known for Zinfandel from the Ed Scherrer Vineyard in Alexander Valley, in 1997 this grew to include Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay from this vineyard as well. In 1998, Chardonnay from the Helfer vineyard broadened our range to include Russian River Valley fruit. This diversification continued in 1999 to include Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley and Sonoma Coast.
