R&D AT RIJK ZWAAN - WHERE GROUNDBREAKING IDEAS MATTER In order to develop new varieties and supply top-quality seeds, continuous innovation is essential. 40 percent of our colleagues is involved in research and development, and we invest around 30 percent of our annual turnover in R&D. The research departments of Rijk Zwaan use state of the art knowledge and technology to support our breeders in the efficient creation of new varieties. To achieve this goal, we continuously strive to enhance our expertise in basic plant biology, molecular analysis and data analysis. In 2012 telde de Aeres Groep 8.500 leerlingen/studenten, vele duizenden cursisten en 1.100 medewerkers.
