Faith in Action, formerly known as PICO National Network, is a national network of faith-based community organizations working to create innovative solutions to problems facing urban, suburban and rural communities. Since 1972, Faith in Action has successfully worked to increase access to health care, improve public schools, make neighborhoods safer, build affordable housing, redevelop communities and revitalize democracy. Today, Faith in Action has 44 affiliated federations and 8 statewide networks working in 150 cities and towns and 17 states. More than one million families and one thousand congregations from 40 different denominations and faiths participate in Faith in Action. Together we are lifting up a new vision for America that unites people across region, race, class, and religion.

At Mission of Hope, we believe that God has called us to make a difference for our impoverished rural neighbors. Since 1996, Mission of Hope has ministered to and met many of the needs of families living with poverty throughout rural Appalachia. Mission of Hope is a year-round ministry blessed to assist many of our less fortunate Appalachian neighbors with much-needed goods and resources; college scholarships; and help with basic educational, health care, and home repair needs. More specifically, our mission is to: - Provide for Christian ministries during appropriate seasons of the year, including Christmas and Easter, through a system of delivering clothes, food, toys, and school supplies to impoverished families - Assist in the repair of existing homes or relocating to other homes when appropriate - Provide scholarships for qualifying children of the area - Assist in developing skills or other expertise for the creation of new or expanded jobs in the area - Assist in locating jobs for persons who are willing to relocate outside the area The men, women, and families of our beautiful mountain home celebrate a long heritage of self-reliance and independence. Unfortunately, in communities across Eastern Kentucky and Tennessee where 80% of the region’s residents no longer have jobs in the coal mining industry, many families face crippling poverty, broken families, job losses, and depleted coal mining economies. Many of the people we assist are caught in the cycles of poverty and as a result, have lost all hope for their future. With your help and with God’s love, we can help bring new hope to so many of our neighbors. Thank you for caring enough to help those who still have hope.

Global Fellowship is a church-planting organization that is passionate about elevating the voice of our national leaders as we plant new churches in the most unreached places in the world. We use the Gospel as our primary approach to ministry. We believe that by getting behind our national leaders, we can build effective and sustainable ministries that make disciples of all nations.
