SCAN2FX is a solution provider exploring the creation of virtual sets for media production, games, simulations, designs and product visualizations. Through our own experience in producing media content, we have identified new, unique workflows to better utilize laser scanning technology in the context of media and film production. SCAN2FX has developed unique technologies to more quickly move from scanned point cloud to photo-realistic models and meshes. By closely interfacing point cloud management software such as FARO Scene with special effects and visual design software such as Autodesk Maya and the Foundry’s Mari, SCAN2FX can directly transfer and compute key information to project scans and photos onto 3D models for texturing.
