ScamZero Information

ScamZero gives law enforcement leaders a visible response to the scam crisis: a public-facing program that helps residents stop scams today, prevent them tomorrow, and recover when harm has already occurred. Each participating agency receives its own branded Scam Safety Center. Residents can use it 24/7 to check a suspicious call, text, email, screenshot, or other situation; learn how scams work; and get clear next steps based on what happened. Agencies also have access an ongoing education and outreach library with ready-to-use content for social media, newsletters, presentations, flyers, and community handouts. ScamZero manages the platform, research, content, and updates, so departments can provide year-round scam prevention without creating another program for staff to run. Verified agency phone numbers, email addresses, and websites are incorporated into relevant scam checks to help residents identify impersonation attempts. The Safety Center is available in English and Spanish, requires no account or app, and does not retain submissions. Scam-Free Communities is fully managed and always free to law enforcement. No paid contract, credit card, or IT project required.
