Saxscape mouthpieces are manufactured in the USA from the highest quality stable materials. Delrin is an FDA safety approved polymer which is extremely tough, while maintaining highly exact dimensions. To clean, wash with warm water and soap. Saxscape company owner Ken Barry currently gigs weekly on the latest mouthpiece prototypes. His musical career spans back to 1982 when he played with the Broward Community College Jazz Band on baritone sax, and the BCC Youth Symphony as principal flutist. He won a flute scholarship to University of Miami in 1985, and a jazz sax scholarship to Florida State University in 1987 where he played lead alto sax in the Concert Jazz Ensemble. He studied wind synthesizer technology and numerous synthesis techniques. In 1990 he moved to Kansas City where he began a 12-year musical journey playing regularly at the numerous historic venues in the city. He developed a guitar pick in 1998, the Wirething, and was awarded US Patent # 5,894,097. In the early 2000's the focus changed to mouthpieces, and with the help of Dave Liebman, Tim Price, Jimmy Greene, Michael Blake, Bob Franceschini, Pharoah Sanders, and many other great players, helped develop what is now the Saxscape line of mouthpieces.
