- MST is een topklinisch ziekenhuis in Twente met een compleet zorgaanbod van basiszorg, topklinische zorg en in een aantal vakgebieden op academisch niveau. - MST is een opleidingscentrum voor toekomstige (para)medici en verpleegkundigen en verricht veel wetenschappelijk onderzoek. - MST is een regionaal traumacentrum en biedt eerste opvang bij ernstige ongevallen of rampen in het regionale grensgebied. - MST is een van de zeven Santeon ziekenhuizen die nauw samenwerken om de zorg te verbeteren door van elkaar te leren. - Het verzorgingsgebied van MST bestaat uit 263.000 inwoners. - Er werken circa 3.700 medewerkers, onder wie 235 medisch specialisten waarvan 8 hoogleraren.
