Situated on over 4 acres of beautiful bushland in the middle of the Gemfields in Central Queensland, Sapphire Caravan Park (formerly Sunrise Cabins) offers its guests a peaceful and tranquil stay. With great bush views, abundant birds and wildlife, you will feel like you are staying in a retreat rather than a Caravan Park. All Billy Boulder cottages have unique names & decor to give it that added touch and homely feel. The Sapphire Gemfields is situated in Central Queensland on the tropic of Capricorn, 320 km West of Rockhampton, 400 Km East of Longreach and 42 km West of Emerald on the Capricorn highway. Stay in one of our air-conditioned, fully self-contained Billy Boulder Cottages, or budget Miners huts. Spoil yourself and stay in our "Sapphire Suite" with a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival. All budget cottages are adjacent to the fully equipped, Rustic Camp Kitchen, second BBQ area and modern amenities blocks. After a day of fossicking or just taking it easy and relaxing by the swimming pool, you can sit in the huge BBQ Hut with open fireplace, ceiling fans, 32" TV and free gas and wood BBQ's (with supplied firewood), then watch the wildlife feed before enjoying one of our Magical Sunsets.
