Thanks for stopping by and learning about our AEGIS Neonate Medical Wrap. I would like to share with you who we are and why we created AEGIS, "The Seatbelt of Maternity" as we call it. For over 8 years, I have assisted in thousands of cesarean births in the Labor and Delivery departments at two prominent hospitals in the San Francisco Bay Area. One day in the operating room, a new mom who was holding her beautiful baby girl after a cesarean delivery, reached up to adjust her oxygen mask and accidentally dropped her baby. The happiest moment of her life was turned upside down. I have two daughters myself and I could only imagine the fear and guilt this new mom was feeling at this moment. I knew there had to be a better way to keep infants safe from accidental drops. New moms are emotional, medicated and exhausted. It is cumbersome and difficult to maneuver yourself after delivery let alone care for a baby too. I went to work designing a wrap that would be used immediately after birth, and at home for the first weeks of life. As a mom, a surgical tech, and designer I knew I could solve this problem. I needed trusted partners to help me make the AEGIS Neonate Medical Wrap a reality. So who did I turn to? My Mom, Carin the Co-founder and CEO of Falcon Ambulance, and my sister, Amy who is a military spouse entrepreneur. Working together with my mom and sister to keep babies safe is a family affair and something we care deeply about. We aren’t stopping with AEGIS. We are working on more innovative products to make ambulance transports safer and recovering patients more comfortable.
