In the early 1950's, Normand and Cecile Dubois had a vision to create a family amusement park in the White Mountains of NH. After a fawn jumped out in front of their car on Route 2 in Jefferson, they felt it was fate, and opened the doors of Santa's Village on June 14, 1953. The park was opened with the goal of bringing families together to enjoy a great day of fun, in a safe and wholesome atmosphere. Although additions have been made since opening day. the basic philosophy has remained. Santa's Village is not a "metal Park" of just rides and carnival games. Rather, it is a village where participatory shows, activities, and "good family fun" are encouraged.
