A non-profit founded in 2011 to defend Net Energy Metering and to place Community Choice Aggregation on the policy agenda for San Diego county and beyond. Today, SDED represents members across the region and state, in pursuit of policy and public support for emerging clean energy and grid technologies that further rapid, economic "decarbonization" of the electricity system. For 2021, look to the San Diego Energy District for consultation on your adoption of self-generation of electricity with solar, energy storage, and other renewables. The SD Energy District can provide you with impartial advice on how to move forward under the current rules of Net Energy Metering, the federal tax incentives, and California's incentives for energy storage.
