San Clemente Volleyball Club Information

San Clemente Volleyball Club was started by San Clemente High School Alumni, Tom Beard and Jennifer Adams Beard. "We wanted to create an opportunity for kids to get quality skills coaching and to grow as individual members of a team unit. We feel that it is as important to help kids grow their self confidence and self control as it is to grow their individual skill. We think skill improvement is as much a result of a persons mind set as it is their physical ability. In order to change a player must be willing to try something new which implies a willingness to feel uncomfortable and deal with the inevitable failures until the skill is acquired through repetition. We attempt to stretch a childs game both physically and mentally so they can experience the satisfaction that comes from achieving positive results gained through hard work and focus. We have programs for younger age groups that allow kids to learn the proper skills and participate in friendly tournaments, this is great for multi-sport athletes. At the more competitive levels, Tom is able to share his expertise that contributed to his many successes, including High School and Collegiate All American, CIF and NCAA champion, USA Junior and Senior National Team member and six years of professional volleyball in Europe."
