Salient Bio develops microbiome-based diagnostic products that help detect and manage chronic health conditions earlier and more accurately. Our flagship diagnostic, the IBD Signal test, is a non-invasive, at-home, MHRA-registered diagnostic for inflammatory bowel disease - one of the first of its kind. We also develop gut, oral and vaginal microbiome tests, built on metagenomic sequencing and our proprietary SIGNAL machine-learning platform. We believe the microbiome - the community of microorganisms living in and on the body - is an increasingly important source of health information, and that insight should translate into real decisions, not just data. Science should lead to insight, and insight should lead to action: that's the principle behind everything we build. We own and operate our own UKAS-accredited, ISO 17025-certified laboratory in central London, which means we control the full process from sample to result - faster turnaround, tighter quality control, and the ability to develop new diagnostics without relying on third parties. The same lab also supports established pathology services for clinical, wellness and occupational health partners, under white-label and grey-label arrangements.
