Opnieuw wordt Scheveningen de finishplaats van een groot internationaal maritiem evenement. Tientallen grote zeilschepen komen van 20 t/m 23 juni dit jaar naar de badplaats, omdat hier dan de finish is van de Liberty Tall Ships Regatta. Tien tot vijftien klassieke windjammers en rond de twintig middelgrote zeezeilschepen komen daarvoor naar de Scheveningse haven. Veel van deze schepen varen over de hele wereld en zijn alleen te zien bij grote internationale maritieme evenementen zoals Sail Amsterdam, maar nu dus ook voor het eerst in Den Haag.
