Vistatech Labs uses artificial intelligence (AI) techniques to accurately classify smoke and fire profiles. We license our simplified artificial intelligence fire recognition algorithm (SAIFRA) to help our partners pass Underwriters Laboratories' new polyurethane and burger broil fire tests. Both UL217 and UL268 products are required to meet the new standard by May 2020. SAIFRA fits inside any microprocessor having 1.5K bytes extra memory. This advance software can be used on either single or multi-criteria products for residential or commercial applications. Our software was successfully tested at UL on single IR photo alarms and single ionization alarms. Commercial customers needed to incorporate our software in multi-criteria detectors to distinguish between UL broil and UL smoke box fire profiles. SAIFRA is also effective in differentiating between UL fast flaming polyurethane and many stove top cooking activities.
