What makes Star Academy unique? At Star, our goal is to prepare students for transition. Transition to less restrictive schools, to college or to the workplace. On average, students attend Star Academy for three years. Star Academy is the place where they get back on their feet, gaining the self-knowledge, aptitudes and self-assurance they need to succeed in their next pursuit, whatever it may be.
Our students face mild to moderate challenges such as: dyslexia, executive functioning deficits, dyscalculia, auditory processing, dysgraphia, ADHD and High Functioning Autism. Elementary, middle and high school students all benefit from Star’s calm, nurturing, and supportive environment, which are conducive to learning.
