Founded in 1852, the American Society of Civil Engineers represents more than 160,000 members in 177 countries. ASCE is a leading provider of technical and professional conferences and continuing education, the world’s largest publisher of civil engineering content, and an authoritative source for codes and standards that protect the public.

Our mission is to put civil engineers "at the heart of society". We are a qualifying body, a centre for the exchange of knowledge and a provider of resources to encourage innovation and excellence in the profession worldwide.
