SacDigiFab was created by architect Jason A. Silva, AIA, in order to address the need for broad awareness of digital fabrication capabilities and benefits to design and construction industries. Yesterday's routine of selecting standard components out of catalogs is replaced with today's robotic fabrication methods. Whatever tomorrow brings, Sacramento will be on the leading edge. Through the use of robotic fabrication, full-sized structures can be created directly from 3D computer models. Combining technology and creativity, architects and designers can generate amazing functional spaces that were previously unimaginable.
