Ryan Tomkinson Information

Multi-disciplinary Creative Direction and Design BIO: Ryan is a passionate, multidisciplinary designer with a natural eye, rigorous academic training, and twenty years of industry experience. He is a freelance Creative Director and co-founded the successful boutique agency We the Collective in 2007. He has been the graphic designer of choice for Levi's® Canada for 6 years working on both the Red Tab and Signature labels. His book 501 x 501: A Retrospective Look at 5 years of Design, Denim and Dedication is a testament to the success of this ongoing relationship. His love and aptitude for design extends across a number of mediums including graphic, furniture and interiors. His Dacha DAC-1 Lounge Chair was featured at Design Vancouver Expo 2007. Over the years, he has designed for clients in real estate, hospitality, retail, action sports, finance, technology, consumer goods, food and beverage, entertainment and not-for-profit sectors. Ryan truly embraces design as a catalyst for change, and is committed to using his skills to constructively contribute to the world in creative ways. In his spare time he enjoys designing furniture, mountain biking, surfing and community.
