RXVP has developed proprietary software programs that enable short message services through e-mail, telephony, and Internet protocols so that computer services can be provided to people using traditional telephones. The RXVP PostScript service reminds patients being treated for chronic conditions to take their medications or perform monitoring tests (as in the case of blood glucose level testing for diabetics). RXVP PostScript is the first medical reminder service that provides two-way communications between the patient, family members, and professional caregivers. The service uses a proprietary Internet communications platform to send pre-programmed short messages to alert patients when it's time to take medications or perform tests. Patients receive these messages via traditional phones, cell phones, pagers or e-mail devices, and can acknowledge they've received the messages with the press of a button. The PostScript system then generates e-mail compliance messages, which are sent to authorized family members and care givers.
