Eden Gardens is Australia's most diverse retail and horticultural business incorporating unique plant ranges and retail operation (homewares and gifts) with dining, exhibition and event spaces and a focus on education to ensure our customers understand and appreciate the power of plants and how they can improve almost every aspect of our daily life.
At present, we operate three large-format retail operations in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, each covering a significantly larger area than a typical nursery, allowing us to provide significant value-added experiences. Since 2002 we've continued to change the landscape of green retailing. Our vision is to be universally recognised as the world's leading retailer of plant and lifestyle related products that enrich people's lives.
Brisbane Markets Limited (BML) is the owner of the Brisbane Markets site and is responsible for its ongoing management and development.
BML manages the Brisbane Markets in support of the horticulture industry, having purchased the site from the State Government in 2002. BML is owned by over 400 shareholders, including investors from throughout the fruit and vegetable supply chain. This strong industry-based investment ensures the ongoing professional and commercial management of the Brisbane Markets for the benefit of the horticulture industry.
BML provides infrastructure and services to facilitate the marketing of fresh food, flowers and other ancillary products for fruit, vegetable and flower wholesalers, retailers, provedores, secondary wholesalers, food processors, transporters, exporters, industry organisations and market support businesses.

How it all started...It was 1979 when ceramic artist Christa Barton and her friend Gail Perry-Somers came up with the idea of holding a European style artisans and farmers' market in Eumundi.
After only one year of operation, Eumundi Market gained a reputation as a source of energy, variety, freshness and friendliness, properties that still characterise it today. But it was the ‘locally made’ policy of its founders and the markets auspicing body, the Eumundi Historical Association, that has made the markets unique and this policy is still going strong today.
Over the years, several independent organisations, including the Eumundi and District Community Association, have also set up other market operations adjacent to The Original Eumundi Markets. Our market community has now grown to more than 600 stalls and boasts an annual visitation of 1.6 million people!
The philosophy of locally handmade products and services has served the Eumundi Markets well over the last 30 years and it is the originality and uniqueness of the stallholders and their creativity that has customers coming back for more year after year.
We play a pivotal role in supporting and promoting young local creative talent.
