Ace Hotel Ace Hotel is a collection of individuals — multiple and inclusive — seeking to embrace the cities we live in by building spaces for collective gathering. Atelier Ace Atelier Ace is Ace Hotel’s in-house creative, marketing, events, interior, architecture and graphic design team. We’re a curious hybrid — romantics with an unswerving business savvy, easy-going yet driven, casual but elegant. We architect event spaces, rooms, nightly magic, branded campaigns, curios and keepsakes and see the hotel as a potential for real, fluid community. With everything we do, we try to collaborate with and celebrate people whose work inspires us. Faith & Flower is a contemporary Los Angeles restaurant located in the WaterMarke Tower in DTLA’s South Park district. The restaurant’s name pays homage to the two major renaissance periods—the 1920s and modern day—that have fundamentally shaped the Downtown Los Angeles community, with “Flower” referring to the street on which the restaurant lies today, and “Faith” for the street’s alleged name during the early 1920s. Executive Chef Michael Hung, formerly of San Francisco’s Michelin-starred La Folie, will oversee all culinary operations. Michael Lay (Restaurant 1833, Rose.Rabbit.Lie.) helms the bar program as Lead Mixologist, and Ben Spungin (Bernardus Lodge) serves as Executive Pastry Chef. Inspired by a global influence of flavors and techniques, complemented by the use of a wood-fired oven and pristine raw bar, the menu redefines Californian rustic cuisine. The cocktail program celebrates the drinking culture spanning the Gilded Age and Roaring Twenties in Downtown Los Angeles and features cocktails with long-forgotten ingredients as well as modern signature drinks. Designed by AvroKODesign, decorative elements reflect the intersection of modernity and antiquity, with touches that include a partition wall composed of distressed doors collected from the 1920s, a large scale handmade sunburst wall installation, and an entire wall mural by highly acclaimed local street artist Robert Vargas. Faith & Flower is a space where friends, family, and neighbors can feel welcome, and the perfect place for a casual snack and a cocktail, or if you choose, a feast with friends.
