RUNWAY Roots is a Black woman-founded financial innovation firm and the home of reparative finance. Unlike conventional financial institutions, our work is rooted in a framework that centers founders and entrepreneurs, redefines risk, and prioritizes community decision-making. We design and manage funds, financial products, and programs that educate and shift the culture of finance—toward an economy that loves Black people. Running on experience-informed leadership, we’re a Black-women-led team of visionaries, activists, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, and grassroots organizers. We’re not just designing funds—we’re building a movement. Unlike conventional financial institutions, our work is rooted in a framework that centers entrepreneurs, redefines risk, and elevates community decision-making. Through fund design, financial products, and transformative programming, we aim to shift the culture of finance toward an economy that truly loves Black people—one relationship, one investment, and one act of repair at a time.
