Runners' Choice Information

Runners' Choice is offering a free group run every Thursday evening starting from the store at 6:30pm. It is open to any group members (especially learn to runners and 10K training group members) but also to the general public. If you need that little bit of extra motivation throughout the week, this is it! Come on out for an easy 3 to 8K run on Thursday evenings!! "RUN, CHEER, OR VOLUNTEER!!" We are the Volunteer Coordinators for the 2007 Forest City Road Races. As runners and past participates of the FCRR, we personally believe in supporting this event and its charitable benefactor, the Thames Valley Children's Centre. The date of this year's races is Sunday May 13th and we are really excited as this is the Silver Anniversary. We would like to ask for your support at this year's event. It takes over 400 volunteers to make it happen. As we are all aware, volunteers make a great impression on race participants and spectators. If you are not running in any of the races, please consider volunteering for marshaling, registration or park duties. If you are running one of the races, please consider volunteering for registration at the Expo on Saturday May 12th. We could use your help. We will provide the necessary training to make you comfortable in your role. We also provide Forest City Road Races T-shirts to identify you as a volunteer. To express our gratitude, volunteers are also invited to attend an Appreciation Night hosted by Rockwaters Brew and BBQ. Please contact Joanne at jpmarks@mmm.com or Arnie at arnie.spivey@quadro.net to have your name added to our list of volunteers. You can also register on our website at www.forestcityroadraces.com. We look forward to hearing from you and we encourage you to "Run, Cheer or Volunteer".
