AWSNA provides leadership to schools by facilitating resources, networks and research as they strive towards excellence and build healthy school communities. Sunbridge Institute is an independent, not-for-profit adult learning community offering low-residency Waldorf teacher education programs, plus professional development and general interest courses and workshops on Waldorf teaching, Waldorf Education, organizational leadership, and the arts. The teachings of Rudolf Steiner, the founder of Waldorf Education, are at the heart of the Sunbridge mission, and we are dedicated to the support of Waldorf Education in North America. Sunbridge's programs, courses, and workshops offer abundant opportunities for journeys of self-discovery and personal transformation within a rich community experience. The institute is housed on the beautiful, 140-acre campus of the Threefold Educational Center in Chestnut Ridge, NY, located 30 miles from NYC. Since our founding as the Waldorf Institute in 1967, Sunbridge has prepared thousands of Waldorf teachers, earning a worldwide reputation for excellence in Waldorf teacher education. Sunbridge graduates enjoy teaching and administrative careers at Waldorf schools and early childhood centers, teacher education institutes, and affiliated organizations across the U.S. and around the world. The oldest Waldorf teacher education institute in North America, Sunbridge is a full member institute of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA) and the Waldorf Early Childhood Association of North America (WECAN) and is an MEd Partner of Empire State College of The State University of New York.

Located on 140 wooded acres 30 miles from New York City, the Threefold Educational Foundation is a home and incubator for educational and agricultural initiatives and institutions, a conference center, a provider of services and amenities, a steward of land and facilities, and a physical home for kindred institutions. The Threefold community encompasses the Green Meadow Waldorf School, the Otto Specht School, Eurythmy Spring Valley, the Pfeiffer Center at Threefold Community Farm, the Fiber Craft Studio, the Steiner School of Speech Arts, Sunbridge Institute, Endeavor 21 and the Rudolf Steiner Fellowship Community.
