The core element of RTI Ditigal’s Vortex 4200 wide format printer are the Memjet printheads delivering single-pass printing for never-before seen speeds coupled with perfectly matching accessories like an inline folding unit or a stacker. The Vortex 4200 printer targets the CAD, AEC, GIS and Point-of-sale graphics markets with a combination of speed and quality. The Vortex® 4200 wide format printer and the Vortex 850R & 851R narrow format printers are powered by Memjet technology which makes it possible to print in full color at 30 cm per sec (12 ips). The Vortex 850R features a roll-to-roll or a roll-to-cut printing option coupled with an easy-to-use and state of the art graphical printer management software interface. The Vortex 851R features a roll-to-cut printing option with a simple plug & print driver interface. Unlike traditional inkjet systems, the Memjet technology maintains full productivity for all image types, color mixes, and media types. With an effective speed up to 10,000 labels per hour (12 ips, 4”x6” label size, narrow format) or 500 B1 sheets per hour (12 ips, wide format) the Vortex® printers form a useful adjunct to traditional analog print methodology (litho, screen print, flexo, offset). The low set-up time and zero cost of setup means that short runs are now possible and cost-effective in an economic and efficient way of printing. Combine this with the variable data capability, and the Vortex® printers make previously impossible jobs now possible.
