People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) entities have more than 10.4 million members and supporters globally, and PETA U.S. is the largest animal rights organization in the world. PETA focuses its attention on the four areas in which the largest numbers of animals suffer the most intensely for the longest periods of time: in laboratories, in the food industry, in the clothing trade, and in the entertainment industry. We also work on a variety of other issues, including the cruel killing of rodents, birds, and other animals who are often considered “pests” as well as cruelty to domesticated animals. PETA works through public education, cruelty investigations, research, animal rescue, legislation, special events, celebrity involvement, and protest campaigns. PETA Foundation was founded in 1993 as an organization that helps PETA run, and includes departments like IT, Development, and Interactive Media. Humane Society International/India is the Indian chapter of Humane Society International, the world's largest animal protection organization. Through fieldwork, policy formation, humane education, direct care and services, and capacity building of in-country partners, HSI/India has helped advance the cause of animal welfare in India. Our focus has been on protecting street dogs, responding to disasters and cruelty cases, saving wild animals from abuse, protecting marine mammals, fighting dog meat trade, fighting factory farming and striving to end toxicity testing on animals in India.

Since 1910 The Lost Dogs’ Home has been a voice for animals without owners. We’ve been pioneers for fair animal laws and continue to work at the front line to reduce the number of lost, abandoned and stray cats and dogs. The Home relies on public support to provide our Australia-wide services and programs, these include; National Pet Register, The Lost Cats’ Home, shelter operations, adoptions and responsible pet ownership education. Our expertise also extends to veterinary and animal management services. All of our functions are governed by a quality management system – an industry first in Australia. The Lost Dogs’ Home is one of the country’s largest animal welfare organisations, caring for more than 25,000 cats and dogs each year.
