Lancing College is situated on the South Downs, near Brighton and Hove, in several hundred acres of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It has a reputation for academic excellence in all subjects and a strong performance in value-added terms. There are 600 students in the school, which was founded in 1848 by the forward thinking Revd Nathaniel Woodard, whose aim was to provide a good and complete education… of sound principle and sound knowledge, firmly grounded in the Christian faith. Lancing is an ideal size: big enough to offer a diverse range of opportunities; small enough for everybody to be known and appreciated.
