The Royal Agricultural and Horticultural Society of SA was formed in 1839, making it the second oldest organisation in the state. Historically and today, the purpose of the organisation is to contribute to the promotion and success of South Australia's primary industry through the staging of events and the rewarding of excellence. The RA&HS manages and operates the Adelaide Showground, Royal Adelaide Show and Adelaide Showground Caravan Park.
