Roundtable Partners is a private equity company focused on making friendly control investments in portfolio companies of mid-market financial sponsors. New investment capital is used to de-leverage a company’s balance sheet through the repurchase of existing debt at a discount and its exchange into preferred equity with a liquidation preference. Distinct from distressed debt or “loan-to-own” investors, Roundtable executes its proprietary transaction with the full support of all key stakeholders – the current sponsor, management, and lenders – and does not rely on the threat of bankruptcy to execute a transaction. Roundtable invests in fundamentally sound but overleveraged businesses that will benefit from our in-house operations improvement expertise and our ability to reset the strategic agenda to maximize value creation. With a right-sized balance sheet and improved cost structure, the target company will be well-positioned to take advantage of the growth opportunities that are often ignored during a recession.
