Filming takes place over a two week cycle, with two studios working simultaneously on a purpose-built set in the West of Ireland. A unique project - a script to screen production all based in one location. Pre-production, filming, post-production, Editing, audio-post and video-post are all done on the set in an Spidéal, Co.Galway. Ros na Rún is renowned for the high quality of its dramatic scripts, and has the unique ability to portray the realities of contemporary Gaeltacht and rural living with humour and intelligence. Its realistic storylines are not afraid to tackle the challenging social issues of our times. High quality production values ensure an extremely successful result. Life in Ros na Rún is never dull and the village’s name has more than one meaning, it can be translated into English as ‘Headland of the Secrets’.
