Rural Appalachia is home to some of the most ingenious, self-sufficient, and hard-working people in the nation. These learned-behaviors are also clearly seen in the children of the region. Unfortunately, this region is lacking in both STEM education and therefore STEM job opportunities. This results in many STEM majors seeking career opportunities far from home, continuing the depleting cycle. We want to help solve this problem at its root. As fellow STEM majors from rural Appalachia, we understand the value of education. Therefore, 100% of all donations and profits will be placed directly into an annual scholarship fund. Each year, selected future STEM majors from rural Appalachia will be awarded a scholarship to help further their STEM knowledge and encouraged to reinvest it back home.
