Roots ConnectED supports educators in creating learning environments where every student feels seen, valued, and connected. Research consistently shows that when students experience a sense of belonging at school, they are more likely to be engaged in learning, attend school regularly, take academic risks, and experience positive academic and social outcomes. We believe creating these conditions begins with educators. When educators have the tools, support, and opportunities to reflect on their practice, they are better equipped to build classrooms and school communities where all students can thrive. Our work focuses on the adults who shape students' daily experiences. Through practical strategies, collaborative learning, and reflection, we help educators strengthen the relationships, instructional practices, and school cultures that foster belonging. Educators can engage with Roots ConnectED in several ways: Coaching & Learning Exchanges We partner with schools, districts, and organizations to support meaningful change. Through leadership support, professional learning, coaching, and Learning Exchanges, educators deepen their practice while working toward goals related to belonging, collaboration, student engagement, and school culture. Institutes Immersive learning experiences that help educators explore the practices, mindsets, and structures that support belonging-centered schools through examples, reflection, and collaborative planning. Spark Sessions Free virtual learning experiences that offer practical strategies and fresh ideas on topics such as student engagement, team collaboration, classroom culture, and inclusive instructional practices. The Belonging Library A growing collection of tools and resources that help educators strengthen belonging, community, and inclusion. The Space Between An ongoing community where participants continue learning, sharing resources, asking questions, and supporting one another between formal learning experiences.
