RootPhi, llc is an idea generation and product development company. RootPhi was started by two talented and progressive designers as a business that thrives on disruptive design thinking. As an architect and engineer, they recognize the undiscovered and unconventional may become the ideal product solution; this is disruptive design thinking. RootPhi is a company that takes the ordinary and makes it extraordinary by creating products that add room for creative interpretation, customization and self-expression. RootPhi targets key aspects of the value creation chain: ideation, design, research and development, engineering, intellectual property and project management. RootPhi has two primary business models. The first model is to create innovative new products. Some of these may have viability to become new business ventures and others may be sold or licensed to an appropriate commercial owner. The second model is to provide product consultation services for ideas in preliminary stages of development. Once a product idea has been identified through a reflective and interactive process, the team studies its originality and uniqueness. If it meets RootPhi’s strict criteria, the product is patented and prototyped, then licensed, sold or launched into a wholly owned business.
