Rooted is building technology to help ranchers manage grazing with less routine labor and better information. Our first product is a virtual fencing collar, being developed for precise boundaries, dependable communication, and frequent cattle moves. The goal is to give ranchers finer control over where and when cattle graze, while reducing the work required to carry out their grazing plans. The collars are the first part of a broader system. Drones and cameras provide observations of pasture and cattle; software brings that information together to support grazing decisions; collars carry out the moves the rancher sets. Cameras and decision support are in development. We run cattle operations in Kansas and Mississippi and build alongside ranchers who understand the demands of the work. Those operations shape our priorities: equipment that survives ranch conditions, information that helps with real decisions, and tools that save work. We believe making precise grazing easier to manage can support more profitable ranches and better stewardship of the land. Interested in early access or joining the team? Visit rootedag.com.
