We spent many long and happy years in the horticulture industry, working with nurseries, growers, and retail giants such as Home Depot. And when you are passionate about gardening, it’s a small step from wanting to keep your garden green and healthy to want to keep the whole earth that way. That’s why we began looking at ways to replace traditional plastic plant pots used in gardening and landscaping. We saw millions of plastic pots being used. Each one required the consumption of more oil and petroleum resources to create—and each one ended up in our landfills. We began exploring alternatives to plastic pots and hit on a magic formula that turned plastic bottles into a versatile, geotextile material that keeps plants healthy by letting excess water drain and allowing roots to breathe and grow.
