Born from a love of dinghy sailing, Rooster Sailing Ltd was founded in 1999 by Steve Cockerill with a simple mission: to create high-quality, accessible sailing gear that genuinely works. Starting out in his spare room in the UK, Steve collaborated with friends to develop the very first products, driven by frustration at the lack of functional, well-designed kit available at the time. What began as a personal project has grown into a trusted technical clothing brand supporting sailors and watersports enthusiasts worldwide. While sailing remains at its core, Rooster designs versatile kit for a wide range of on-the-water disciplines, from paddleboarding and kayaking to foiling and beyond.
