Roost celebrates the small actions that can fill our days with joy-from crafting something special by hand to engaging our children in imaginative play, from cooking nourishing meals that delight our families to the discovery of the wonder of the world that lies outside our doors. We believe that these everyday activities, when approached with intention and creativity, can truly enrich our lives. That's why we publish books that aim to nurture that kind of creativity, to inspire healthy living, and to deepen our connection to our families, to our communities, and to the natural world. The Roost imprint was launched in the summer of 2011 by Shambhala Publications, an independent publisher whose books, for more than forty years, have focused on bringing an enlightened approach to every aspect of our life, society, and world. Roost Books grew naturally out of the application of that vision to family, food, nature, and all the activities that connect our heart and hands.
