In Rookiebox we believe that we can boost the tourism through culture. It will generate wealth in local communities. We democratize the organization of cultural Festivals marking it sustainable. We provide creative economy tools. We open new sources of income and new businesses with higher impact. Rookiebox is the eTalent Network. eTalent are online talent competitions, where any user can organize their eTalent and any user can participate. Rookiebox is based on the successful story of Iceland. In 2008, Iceland was in a deep financial downturn. The government changed and they carried out a new frame in which tourism was the key point for recovery. Therefore tourism was attracted through culture, creating opportunities for young talent. That way every city could have at least one festival per month. Over the years some of those festivals become international. Nowadays, Iceland is a frozen country but it is considered a country of Festivals. In 10 years, the visitors of Iceland have increased from 500.000 tourists to 1.500.000. (Poner el antes y el después en todos los casos) We have more examples like Iceland in which the private initiative promotes local communities around the world. For example the one in Oeste Street in Salamanca or the Sonorama festival in a village with 30.000 people that have received more than 100.000 tourists in a week in the last 20 years.
