ROMCARBON is a Romanian company that acts mainly in the field of plastics processing, serving mostly food and agriculture industries, through the plastic packaging it produces. Having a tradition of 70 years in polymer processing, ROMCARBON is today a well-known brand on both Romanian and European market. Since 2008 the company’ shares are traded on Bucharest Stock Exchange, currently on standard category, under the symbol ROCE. ROMCARBON has 3 major lines of business. Manufacturing of plastic packaging: Packaging Polypropylene (raffia), Polyethylene Packaging and Polystyrene packaging. The Plastic Processing sector represents 57% of the company net sales. Another significant line of business is manufacturing the plastic compounds and regenerated polymers (secondary raw materials). Regenerated polymers are obtained by processing post industrial and post consumption wastages.The company started the production of compounds and regenerated polymers in 2012 and in 2019 reached 17% of company net sales. In terms of assets, this sector concentrates 35% of company total assets. Other production sectors : automotive and industrial filters (the company started the production of filters in 1962, being one of the first manufacturers of automotive filters in Romania), breathing protective equipment (the company is the only manufacturer of breathing protective equipment in Romania), PVC road indicators(The product is made of recycled PVC and used to support temporary road signs for marking and delimitation of road works or other boundaries, such as. Parking). This segment has a small share of the company net sales, i.e. 3%.
