Roll of Honor Foundation Information

A nonprofit charity honoring America’s Armed Forces and preserving their legacy. The Roll of Honor is a comprehensive history of America’s military service men and women with a mission to educate the public about their legacy and encourage public service among future generations. The Foundation provides a free comprehensive online registry of U.S. service men and women (www.rollofhonor.org), which allows current and former military members and their families to display their military experience, records of achievement and photos in a digital visual biography, connected to the most popular social media platforms. Our goal is to document the entire U.S. military service history – from Lexington and Concord to today’s deployments – through the individual histories of America’s military. Almost 3 million service members are currently in the Roll of Honor and new profiles are being added daily. The Roll of Honor provides an educational experience for students and families. As visitors navigate through the Roll of Honor, they become more familiar with the military history of their country. Individual service men and women can see their service in the context of a larger story of America’s defense of her freedoms. Families can feel pride in knowing that their relatives who served had important parts to play in America’s history. Young people considering national service are able to view the military as a viable option to contribute to their country in a meaningful way. Military occupation specialties are detailed so children and other family members can understand their relatives’ and ancestors’ responsibilities, as well as suggest possible career opportunities for an upcoming generation who may consider military careers. Our extensive research over the last ten years has built a library of listings and graphics that detail the entire historical U.S. military experience, so that individual profiles can be created to accurately portray a Veteran’s personal history.
