ROI has been developing and supporting custom software applications since 1984. Today we have a long list of satisfied clients in a great many industries using our custom applications. We were one of the first companies to develop applications for digital broadband networks. In 1992 the company was part of a group that partnered with Bell Atlantic to create the nation's first commercial digital broadband network. This work predated the commercial popularity of the Internet and served as the original test-bed for web-like applications and technology as well as helping to create much of the early interest in interactive applications. In addition to providing services to other companies using this network, ROI developed the protocols and technologies used to administer the network and licensed these to Bell Atlantic. ROI's employees have received patents in the areas of interactive applications and network communications. One of these patents, number 5,877,755, describes the methodology for push-casting and applet downloading used by many Internet content providers today. Several others address solutions to the security, filtering and distribution issues being confronted by many eBusiness trading partners. Some specific examples of our work for clients include: Beckett Corporation Beckett Corporation is the custom label division of Invesprint Corporation. ROI developed and deployed a custom web-based inventory management system to address the specific needs of this client. Operating as a hosted service, the system provides authenticated access by company personnel and designated trading partners.
