Rocktree Group is a development company originally formed in 1996, as Cuthbert LLP. The Group structure has come about more recently as an amalgamation of a number of entities. The company's principal activity has been to invest in development opportunities, in particular hotel opportunities ranging from the budget brands to higher end users, although it has principally concentrated on the budget sector where there has been and continues to be extensive growth and a constant requirement for new sites. Rocktree is one of the leading developers of budget hotels in the UK. The company has strong links into all the major hotel operators and in particular Travelodge, Premier Inn/Whitbread and Accor having now been exposed to this sector for 15 years. Kevin Jackson, Managing Director at Rocktree Group was previously Head of Property at Travelodge and has intimate knowledge of occupier's requirements and all factors that might affect contractors. The company's principals have been involved with the development of over 200 hotels over the past 20 years. Rocktree Group itself has recently developed the hotels for Travelodge in London City Airport, Bournemouth (2), Torquay, Paignton, Newport, Eastbourne and Birmingham Airport as well as two Premier Inns in Bournemouth and an Accor in Sheffield.
