Rocket Factory Augsburg - RFA Information

We are taking Europe to orbit. At Rocket Factory Augsburg, we're building RFA One, a launch vehicle that gets satellites to space - reliably, frequently, and affordably. And we're on a mission to unlock the most important infrastructure for our shared future: with RFA One today and as a Launch-as-a-Service provider tomorrow. At the heart of our launch vehicles is Helix, our engine. It runs on staged combustion, a technology you won't find anywhere else in Europe. We started in 2018 and won the German Aerospace Center's (DLR) Microlauncher Competition in 2022. Today, we're one of four companies the European Space Agency (ESA) is backing under its European Launcher Challenge, with up to €190 million for our first flight and the further development of RFA One. We're very proud of that, but mostly it keeps us hungry.
