MDS ROBOTS provide an automated solution to produce monitored dosage systems that are reliable, safe, patient friendly and cost effective for the pharmacy. MDS ROBOTS are very easy to use and can produce MDS BOXES for more than 100 patients per day. Prescriptions are recorded into the PMR in the normal manner. Pouches are then produced from the robot in accordance with the MAR sheet. An Individual’s prescriptions are dispensed into pouches by the MDS ROBOT. Pouches are smaller than a credit card but contain all the drugs an individual requires for a specific dosage time. Our MDS ROBOT’s can store up to 500 different types of drugs within the machine. With the library function this can be expanded up to 999. Drugs are stored into unique calibrated canisters. These are calibrated to a specific manufactured drug and this is part of our safe dispensation system. For drugs that are infrequently used these would be loaded into the FSP or MDU and later delivered into pouches. The FSP (Free Shape Packaging) is available on all our robots and is unique to Robotik Technology. It allows large quantities of seldom used drugs to be included. The MDU (Manual Device Unit) is also available across our range of robots and allows for unusual medication to be included (e.g. half tablets).
